My son Drew found this place when he was in search of a swimming beach on Santorini. In a sea of slick, touristy restaurants and hotels, this is the kind of place you remember long after a trip. It's that old cliche' of the litlle place on the left bank the tourists don't know about. As you sit, sipping your Mythos while gazing out over a small, nearly black volcanic sandy beach, your thoughts competing with the world party music emanating from scratchy little speakers around you, you note the rocky breakwater extending out into the Aegean slightly to your right (see photo)and to your far right that varkadia with its handful of small Greek boats, tied up and looking like a postcard. Sublime. I can see it now. And your drink never tastes as good again as it does in a place like that!
