The best hotel in santorini excellent servise very nice room (I stayed at no 3) and view , thank you loukas and fay

We thoroughly enjoyed our brief, overnight stay at the Iliovalsilema in the quiet, cliffside village of Imerovigli, a 30 minute spectacular and somewhat rigorous walk from the main town of Thira. This hotel is great value for the money,considerably lower than comparable rooms in the area, even in October. Our room, while modest sized, was clean, fresh smelling (the bathroom did not emit an odour as did the bathroom of a suite at a different hotel) and was really everything we needed. The pool nice, clean and deep - and as big as any of the pools that I saw on the island. There were plenty of pool chairs all cliffside facing to offer users the unique and spectacular view that only the cliffside hotels in this area can. Our deck also had private full length, pool chairs, as well as two balcony chairs and table. Amenities included refrigerator, stacked mini bar, tv, air conditioning. Definitely worth checking out, especially if you are not on an unlimited budget but nevertheless insist on taking full advantage of the unique character and spectacular view offered only by one of the many cliffside apartments in the area.

There's no other hotel where you want to go in Santorini but Iliovasilema. All rooms are good and have an excellent view. The pool is a bit small but don't think other hotels have it bigger: you are actually sitting on big steep slope (the caldera) so things can't be olympionic. The manager and all the staff are extremely helpful and cordial. We really had great time. Remember to be in a state of mind of pure relax and you will enjoy it all. The hotel is 2km away from Fira but there's 2 restaurant at walking distance, otherwise rent a scooter. I did both, and I can tell you that from Fira to Imerovigli is a nice walk at night, quite romantic.
