Late in the evening, during Imerovigli famous sunset, participate at our ceremonial wine tasting and experience a selection of the famous Santorinian and Greek wines.

WHITE WINES

  • Kalisti Fume 2002: A beautiful made dry white wine with selected grapes of the famous Assirtico grape variety. Brilliant yellow-straw hue, a rich entry leads to a full-bodied palate with deeply concentrate fruit flavours and a long, slightly warm finish it has been fermented in new French oak barrels for 6 months.
  • Ktima Argyrou 2003 :(Appellation de origin controlle) 13.000 bottles for this season. In tense ,a bouquet of jasmine, grapefruit, lemon/lime and bright apple. Very attractive with good depth, well balanced and a very crisp finish, redolent of fruit and spice. Fermented in new French oak barrels for six months.
  • Ktima Lazaridi Amethystos 2002: A superb dry white wine made from selected grapes of sauv. Blanc/ Semillon and Assyrtico, cultivated in the region of Drama. Amethystos is one of the best ambassadors of the Greek wines because it reflects the mild and rich characteristics of the Greek soil. Rich golden-amber colour leads you to lightly smoky, botrytis-influenced flavours, reflects a successful effort in achieving concentration of flavour and a lovely palate impression rather than sweetness for its own sake.
  • Ktima Gerovasiliou 2002: One of the best and most sophisticated wine producers in Greece Mr. Gerovasiliou he knows how to deliver each year superb wines. His small private vineyard it gave 49.000 bottles of dry white wine made from the grape varieties of Assyrtico and Malagussia. Honeysuckle, orange and mango aromas. a full-bodied palate and a finish with layers of rich, ripe, juicy fruit and lovely tart acidity, rich and exotic.

    ROSE WINES
  • Rose Chatzimichali 2003 : A rose wine produced by the estate of Chatzimichalis , that is one of the greatest ambassadors of Greece. It is a combination of three grape varieties Grenache, Roditis and Xinomavro. The last two are typical Greek varieties concerning white and red wines. It encloses a very good concentration and is well balanced. The flavours reflect exotic fruits and flowers , having a very intense taste of rose. Long, smooth finishing wine, well combined with the Mediterranean cuisine.

    RED WINES
  • Gianakohori Imathias 2001: Another fantastic private collection From Mr. Kir Giannis. A beautiful blend of the Xinomavro and Merlot it gives an exotic bouquet of strawberry, rhubarb, fresh plum, pie cherry and black pepper with hints of cigar. The bright flavours of fresh plum, strawberry, cassis, raspberry, spice and toast are followed by a very fruity spicy finish with exceptional depth and texture.
  • Megas Inos Skouras 2000: This wine is produced in the region of Peloponnesus, Mr Skouras has blended very well the Greek typical grape Variety of Agiorgitico and Cabernet Sauvignon and delivers this outstanding dry red wine. Beautiful dark ruby colour with a perfumed bouquet of black cherries, black currants, raspberry, violets, spice and cocoa. On the palate the flavours of currants, cherries, coffee, spice with hints of pepper and olives are rich and complex with depth and a long fruity delicious finish. It has been fermented for 2 years in new French oak barrels, as the name of the wine it says it is a MEGAS-GREAT wine.

    DESSERT WINE
  • Visanto Sigalas 2001: It is a mature and very fine dessert wine with caramelise and honey flavour. This masterpiece of the volcano Santorini soil can be aged for more than 25 years it is for sure a collection item for people that appreciate their own private cellar. It accomplishes well dessert and fruits.
