Question: Santorini weather

Santorini expert: Dear Carla greetings from Santorini

The following table presents the average monthly temperatures for the period of 1990-2000 according to Hellenic National Meteorological Service (keep in mind thought that we are whitnesing an increase of maximum temperatures and a decrease of minimums, isn't it global?):

The weather in Santorini from April to October is bright and sunny, but a sweater/jacket is advised as evenings often bring cooler temperatures.

The marvellous dry climate and unbroken sunshine create year around conditions which are perfect for observation, photographs and videos under an extraordinary variety of natural lights and colours.

The weather of Santorini Greece looks much the same as in most of the islands of the Cyclades: hot sunny summer and dry winter with very little rainfalls.

The weather, Santorini during the touristic season, from April to September, is bright and sunny. Only from September, Santorini can have a very few cloudy days.

Some days, the weather is so clear that even the mountains of the island of Crete, 70 nautical miles away, can be seen. But that also depends of the humidity.

March, April and May
Often provide warm sunny days with the occasional unpredictable change of temperature.
June and September
are mostly sunny with moderate to hot temperatures
July and August
are the hottest months and the days are dry with frequent cool breezes in the evenings. During July and August, strong winds called "Meltemi" are common in the Aegean Sea starting suddenly and blowing continuously for several days.
October to February
the temperature is quite low with reasonable amount of rain.
