MATI is the main agent for the works of visual artist Yorgos Kypris and the central venue for his exhibitions. Founded in 1990 on Santorini to promote the work of major artists, it soon became the hub of good taste and the modern views on art and the focal point for a broad public interested in matters of artistic expression.

Today ΜΑΤΙ uses its facilities exclusively to present the oeuvre of sculptor Yorgos Kypris in the best possible way, and the building is frequently modified to meet the display needs of his different bodies of works.

The gallery provides information to those who wish to know his art, and distributes printed and electronic material about the artist. It carries out studies, organizes the artist' s exhibitions, installations and projects and handles the insurance and the shipping of the works to destinations around the world.

ΜΑΤΙ is located at Fabrica on big plateau of Orthodox Cathedral, the most central and natural balcony of Fira, suspended on the cliffs of Caldera. The Gallery is open every day (including Saturdays and Sundays ) from 15 March to 15 November, all day round.
